As a consultant to Samaha Architects under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with DC Water, JVP Engineers is participating in the MEP engineering design of the new 20,000 square foot DC Water Warehouse at Blue Plains and associated 10,000 square foot office area. Based on the approved Schematic Design for the project and the information provided to JVP, our services include the development of the mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), fire protection and electrical engineering, including IT/phone/data and security (empty conduits) design.

The budget for this project is $10 million and is utilizing BIM/Revit for 3D modeling. The endeavor entails an evaluation, the final selection of the appropriate MEP and fire protection systems, designing in compliance with active code, selecting the appropriate systems for the building including considerations for LEED Silver Certification, coordinating utility requirements with the Civil Engineer and connecting utilities allocated for the building, audio/visual design limited to cable and terminals, and providing construction documents and construction administration services.
