National Park Service – Meridian Hill Park Restoration

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involved the historical repair and restoration of deteriorated exposed aggregate retaining walls, step and decorative fountains, repair of 1930’s constructed drainage system and implementation of treatment recommendations from Cultural Landscape report for Park plantings, lighting and statuary restoration.

Under an Indefinite Quantity Contract, as a sub-consultant, JVP Engineers was responsible for the preparation of design documents, specifications and detailed construction cost estimates; preparation and analysis of construction schedules, reviewing of value engineering proposals and preparation of as-built drawings. The project also involved the preparation of reports on findings, results and making recommendations.
