JVP Engineers was contracted to develop the engineering designs for the mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems for the modernization of the existing 40,000 square foot Education Campus building and a 37,700 square foot addition.
JVP Engineers worked on the installation of conduits, wiring and drops for communication, audio/visual and security systems that enabled Bluetooth connectivity to hearing devices of building’s occupants. JVP also introduced light harvesting electrical systems as the primary course of illumination throughout the facility.
The newly expanded facility serves up to 160 students ages 3 through 21 with exceptional needs. The estimated cost for this project was $25 million.
The project was designed to meet LEED Silver Certification.
